Don Bosco Tech Maram PMKK-Senapati, Manipur, celebrated International Women’s Day, on 08 March 2021 with much activity, learning and sharing. Rev. Fr. Sebastian Jose Centre in charge gave a speech on the auspicious day. He shared the speech of President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Ministered Narendra Modi. He briefed about the origin of International Women’s Day. He mentioned that today’s generation has changed, years back there is not much effort to get people to work but now if not paid well people are not ready to work. He also spoke on the theme. ‘Choose to challenge’ - a challenge to change the world. To challenge what is holding us back to achieve our goal. To challenge our laziness,  challenge our insecurity and make changes in our lives. Fr. Jose encouraged the trainees to have the courage and determination to face any challenges in life.

A short sharing session was shared by the male Trainers and trainees on women in their lives who have motivated them. All of them shared about their mothers and the importance of a mother’s role in everyone’s life. To commemorate the IWD, a Talent show was organised by the trainees. Dance and songs were performed. Grooming and makeup competition between the three domains were conducted along with gift exchange. During the competition, F&B service candidates secured the first position.

The celebration concluded with refreshment and social work of cleaning the campus of the institute.
